Sanpete County

As Sanpete County grows, we need to plan together for the future we want. The County is embarking on an initiative to update the codes that shape future growth and invites your participation. The County general plan might be updated as part of this effort.

The County has an active planning commission that is already engaged in this work, and they have partnered with Rural Community Consultants to professional advice throughout the process.  The County wants to make significant progress on this initiative during the calendar year 2021. The goal is to have a draft code book to consider for adoption by December.

We would like to maintain steady, consistent progress. You are invited to attend and participate in the regularly-scheduled Planning Commission meetings.  Discussion documents will be posted on this website throughout the project.
